Should We Also Stream Visitation and/or Committal?
The decision to stream the visitation/committal is best made by your particular needs. We can however explain a few things that may help you make an informed decision:
Visitation:
If the visitation is on a different day then the service day, this will incur a separate and second streaming fee.
If the visitation is prior to the service, we need to be at the service location 1 hour prior to start time. This typically eliminates the possibility of streaming visitation.
Typical visitations have many guests coming and going, and many different conversations going on. The audio is capturing all these different conversations at the same time. As guests go through the family line, you will not hear these conversations. What you will generally hear is a large room of people with many people speaking simultaneously.
Committal/Burial:
For many committal/burials that had a service prior, these events are typically very short. Many times there are a few short words, a prayer and service concludes. That said, graveside services that also include additional services such as military honors, are quite special.
Conclusion:
The decision to include visitation/committal/burial services in your streaming needs is truly a personal decision. If all immediate family members are attending in person, perhaps visitation/committal/burial may not be needed and save the additional costs.
